Data reported by respondents through the GC-859 Nuclear Fuel Survey are collected under authority of the Federal Energy Administration Act of 1974 (15 USC Schedule 761 et seq.), Department of Energy Organization Act (42 USC 7101 et seq.), and the Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982, as amended (42 USC 10101 et seq.). Title 18 U.S.C. 1001 makes it a criminal offense for any person knowingly and willingly to make to any Agency or Department of the United States any false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements as to any matter within its jurisdiction. An authorized representative of each respondent company certified that data provided is true and accurate to the best of their knowledge. Additional steps were taken to check and review the data by having respondents submit data for this most recent survey using a web-application managed by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) which included features for automated checks of data reasonableness and completeness, and PNNL technical experts reviewed the data submittals for potential errors and worked with some respondents to resolve apparent issues. While these steps were taken during the data submission and review process, neither the United States Government nor any agency thereof, nor any of their employees, nor any survey data collection contractors, or their subcontractors, or their employees, makes any warranty, express or implied, or assumes any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or any third party’s use or the results of such use of the respondent-provided information.
